Nexus

An AI that doesn’t freeze the day it’s trained.

It learns as you work. Forgets what you don’t need. Consolidates while you sleep. All on your laptop.

The Architecture of Thought

Static intelligence isn’t intelligence.
It’s a photograph.

Yesterday’s Frontier Models

Trained once in a data center. Frozen at launch. You re-explain yourself every day, and when context fills, it forgets who you are.

The Nexus Way

Trained to keep learning. Nexus rewires itself on your laptop—no retraining, no cloud. Use a skill, and it sharpens. Six months in, no two Nexuses are alike.

02 · Synaptic Sleep Consolidation

It learns while you work.
It grows while you sleep.

During the day, Nexus captures raw, organic experiences in fast short-term pathways. At night, when your laptop is idle, it enters a quiet sleep cycle—distilling the day’s lessons into structured, permanent model architecture.

03 · Independence from the Cloud

Frontier capabilities.
Zero data centers required.

The human brain runs on 20 watts of power. It doesn’t need a nuclear power plant in another state to finish a sentence. Because Nexus prunes unused parameters and activates only the pathways your task requires, it runs effortlessly on an everyday laptop.

Common Questions

Asked quietly, answered plainly.

Is Nexus an AGI?

Nexus is not an AGI, and we don’t pretend otherwise. It is a working step in that direction: an AI that keeps learning after deployment instead of freezing at launch — the ability to absorb, forget, and consolidate is what a general intelligence needs before anything else. We publish pre-registered benchmarks so the progress can be judged, not just described.

What is a living brain model?

Conventional models are trained once and then stay static — memory lives outside the model as context or retrieval. Nexus is built like a living brain instead: it forms new pathways when you teach it something, decays what you never use, and folds the day’s lessons into permanent weights while it sleeps. The learning happens inside the model, on your machine.

What makes Nexus a self-evolving AI?

Three loops run continuously after deployment: live absorption (a correction becomes a new pathway in 0.74s), selective forgetting (one-off noise decays, repeated skills densify), and sleep consolidation (overnight passes fold traces into permanent weights). No retraining runs, no cloud calls — the model you use next month is measurably not the one you installed.

How is Nexus different from fine-tuning or RAG?

Fine-tuning freezes after each run and collapses previous skills — our measurements show −71.8% retention — while RAG never learns at all; it re-reads documents at every query. Nexus writes into its own weights locally, holds 0.0 measured forgetting on public benchmarks, and costs nothing per query.
